The First Strategic Conference of the Serbian Medical Diaspora titled “TOGETHER – FIT FOR THE FUTURE” will be held in Belgrade under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Diaspora and the Serbian Medical Chamber (Belgrade, White Palace (Beli Dvor) 2 September 2010, Holiday Inn Hotel, 3-4 September 2010). Co-organizers of the conference include the Center of Emigrants of Serbia (Matica iseljenika Srbije), the American humanitarian organization “LIFELINE” headed by HRH Princess Katarina, and the Association of Serbian Doctors and Dentists in Germany “GSAeZ”.
Conference objectives:
1. PREPARATION OF A COOPERATION DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY aimed at improving cooperation between our doctors and medical experts from the Serbian diaspora with the people and institutions that form the pillars of health care quality in Serbia.
2. BUILDING A NETWORK for Serbian intellectual values in health care in Serbia and the Serbian academic community abroad.
The Serbian Ministry of Diaspora and the Serbian Medical Chamber expect that the Conference will provide the grounds for establishing, and presenting to the public:
1. A STRATEGIC INTERDISCIPLINARY BODY to coordinate activities with the Serbian medical diaspora.
2. A BOOK OF CONCLUSIONS OF ALL CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS that will be prepared based on the opinions and proposals on the conference topics and the questions raised at round tables and workshops.
